PaceCue help center
A little help.
A clearer next step.
Prepare your speech, make room for pauses, and rehearse with a clear view of your timing. Find help with the essentials below.
Your first rehearsal
Create and shape your speech
Choose Create Speech, add a title, and type, paste or import plain text. Use Segment Actions to split, merge or reorder your ideas.
Set the timing
Choose a speaking target and a pause after each segment. Add cues or notes where useful. Adjust the total target to distribute speaking time while keeping your pauses.
Rehearse at your own pace
Save your speech, choose Rehearse, then Start. Tap Next when you finish a segment. Programmed pauses run before the next segment; Pause and Resume suspend the session.
Save and review
At the end, add any rehearsal notes and choose Save Rehearsal. Open History & Progress to compare your actual timing with your targets.
Frequently asked questions
Keep a copy of your work
Open Library Options and choose Export Backup. Save the JSON archive to a location you control. To bring it back, choose Import Backup and select the file.
Imports are checked before they change the library. If an imported speech conflicts with local edits, PaceCue keeps those edits and creates an imported copy. Reimporting a known saved result does not create another result with the same identifier.
A backup can contain complete speech text, private notes and older rehearsal snapshots. Share it only with people or services you trust.
When something isn’t working
The library will not open
Try Retry. If that does not help, use Recover Previous Save or Restore from Backup File. Recovery validates the replacement and preserves a copy of the unavailable file. Do not delete the app while it holds your only copy of important work.
An import is rejected
For a library backup, select an unmodified PaceCue JSON export smaller than 50 MB. For speech text, use Import Plain Text in the editor and choose a UTF-8 text file smaller than 1 MB. Newer, unsupported archive versions are rejected rather than silently reset.
A save fails
Keep the editor or result screen open, check available device storage, and retry. A failed save is not confirmation that your new changes have been stored.
The rehearsal view is hard to read
In Settings, adjust reading size, alignment, contrast, timer visibility and next-segment context. You can also use your device’s text-size and appearance settings. Keep Screen Awake applies during active rehearsal.
Purchases & restoration
PaceCue uses Apple’s in-app purchase system. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase for unlimited speeches, not a recurring subscription. The purchase screen shows Apple’s current localized price before you confirm.
To restore, open Settings → Lifetime Pro & Restore Purchases → Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase and check your internet connection. If a purchase is pending approval, you can keep using the app while Apple processes it.
If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, Pro access may be removed. Your existing speech content and history remain available.
