Privacy Policy

1. Data stored on your device

PaceCue saves the information you create or configure to provide its speech preparation and rehearsal features:

• Speech titles, segment text and order, cues, notes, speaking targets and planned pauses.
• Document identifiers, revision numbers and creation or modification dates.
• Saved rehearsal dates, completion status, per-segment time and pause measurements, and your rehearsal notes.
• A snapshot of the speech used in each saved rehearsal, including its text and timing targets.
• Preferences such as appearance, reading size, countdown, cue visibility, haptics and screen-awake behavior.

The library is stored as local files in the app’s storage area, and preferences use the device’s app settings storage. PaceCue does not use a remote application database.

PaceCue does not request microphone access, record audio or video, recognize speech, or use AI to process your content. Rehearsal timing is based on manual controls and elapsed time.

2. System backups, iCloud and exports

PaceCue does not currently implement iCloud or CloudKit synchronization. Libraries on different devices do not synchronize automatically.

Your device’s backup system may include PaceCue’s local data according to your Apple and device settings. Apple controls those backups. A system backup is different from an in-app synchronization feature.

If you export a library archive, it can contain complete speeches, private notes and historical snapshots. Saving or sharing that file through iCloud Drive, another storage provider or a sharing service gives that chosen destination access to the file. PaceCue does not choose a destination or upload these files in the background. Manage shared and exported copies through the service you use.

3. Purchases through Apple

PaceCue uses StoreKit 2, Apple’s in-app purchase framework, to load products, complete purchases, restore purchases and check access to paid features. These actions communicate with Apple and are subject to your Apple Account settings and Apple’s terms.

The app receives transaction and entitlement information needed to verify access, including product identifiers and transaction status. PaceCue does not receive your full payment card details and does not send purchase records to a developer-operated server.

4. Diagnostics and analytics

The app does not include third-party usage analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking technologies or a developer-operated crash-reporting service.

The timing statistics you see in PaceCue are calculated locally from your saved rehearsals. They are not transmitted as usage analytics, and they do not evaluate your health, psychology or speaking ability.

Apple may collect or share system diagnostics and crash information according to your device settings, Apple’s policies and any sharing choices you make. This is separate from an app-integrated reporting service. PaceCue does not add speech content to an external diagnostic report.

5. Shortcuts, links and third-party services

PaceCue provides an App Intent that opens the speech library. It does not include speech text as an intent parameter. If you invoke a shortcut through Siri, Apple handles the Siri interaction under its own privacy practices.

PaceCue does not schedule notifications or ask for notification permission. It does not use a third-party AI service, sell your speech content, or share it with advertising partners.

When you follow an external link, such as Apple’s license agreement or purchase support, your browser contacts that website. Its operator controls the resulting processing. Export destinations and device-level backups are also governed by their respective providers.

6. Data retention and deletion

Saved speeches and rehearsals remain in the app until you remove them or remove the app’s local data. Deleting a speech from the library does not delete the snapshots already saved in rehearsal history. You can delete those results separately from All Rehearsals.

For recovery, PaceCue keeps a previous valid library file. If you use a recovery operation, it preserves the unavailable file before replacing it. These recovery copies may contain older or deleted content and remain within the app’s local storage.

Deleting the app removes its installed local storage through the operating system. Offloading the app may retain its data. Exported files, shared copies and system backups can remain elsewhere; manage or delete them separately in the relevant device or service settings. PaceCue cannot remove copies held by other people or storage providers.

A purchase refund or loss of Pro access does not automatically delete your speeches or rehearsal history.

7. This support website

These public pages provide product support and privacy information. We do not add advertising, analytics trackers, external font services or a form that collects your speech content. Reading the pages does not send your app library to this website.

The hosting infrastructure receives ordinary web requests, which can include an IP address, requested URL, browser information and security or operational logs needed to serve the pages. Hosting is provided by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare’s applicable privacy practices govern its infrastructure. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

8. Children’s privacy

PaceCue does not require an account, ask users for their age or contact details, or operate a service that collects their speech content. It is a general-purpose preparation tool and is not designed as a children’s social service. Apple’s rules and family settings govern purchases and Apple services used on a child’s device.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app’s behavior or relevant services change. The effective date above identifies this version. Changes to how content is handled will be explained here.
